What happens after you shoot
01 Pressing Finish
Taking photos costs nothing. Finishing them is the step that turns your shots into the photos you post, and it is the step that spends credits.
- Open the shoot and tap Finish.
- A sheet appears showing how many photos you are finishing and what it costs. One photo uses one credit.
- Check the number, then confirm.
Nothing is spent until you confirm on that sheet.
Every photo comes back in 4K, ready to post at full size. There is no quality setting to get wrong — you always get the best version, for the same one credit.
02 You need a connection
Taking photos works anywhere, including with no signal at all. Finishing needs the internet, because the work happens on our end rather than on your phone.
If you are out of range, the photos wait and upload by themselves as soon as you have a connection again. You do not have to do anything.
03 How long it takes
Usually 5 to 25 minutes, depending on how big the shoot is. A handful of photos is quick. A full property takes longer.
You do not have to sit and watch. Put the phone in your pocket and get on with your day — it keeps working.
04 Following the progress
The shoot card shows a progress bar and a status that moves through Shooting, Uploading, Merging, and finally Ready.
The same progress appears on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with a count of how many photos are done. The first time you press Finish, your iPhone asks whether ProMyPhoto may send you notifications — say yes, and we will tell you the moment the photos are ready.
05 If a photo takes a while
Occasionally one photo takes longer than the rest — a moment of bad signal, or a hiccup on the way up. There is nothing for you to do and no button to press: the app keeps working at that photo on its own until it finishes. It simply stays on Uploading while it does, and the others land as normal.
You can put the phone in your pocket. Uploads carry on in the background, and if you close ProMyPhoto altogether it picks the photo back up the next time you open it — nothing is lost and nothing needs re-shooting.
If we genuinely cannot finish a photo — most often because you have run out of credits — that photo goes back to Unfinished, exactly as it was before you pressed Finish. Press Finish again whenever you are ready and it goes through with the rest. You are never charged for a photo that did not finish.
The only thing we will ever ask you to fix is a connection: if your phone genuinely cannot reach the internet, we say so. Your photos are safe on the phone and keep uploading the moment you are back on.
06 When it is done
You get a notification saying your photos are ready. Open the shoot, and see Download and post your photos.
